JWA Standard

A range of seating designed for JW Anderson for use across their retail locations. The idea was to produce a set of seating that uses a common form and can be re-produced as needed for new locations and projects. The chairs take the familiar form of a shaker chair while using materials integral to my practice, in this case Tubular ERW steel section. A variety of sections are used, Oval, Round, Rectangular and Flat. For example the regular chair uses rolled tube for the backrest, the High chair a combination of three different sections stacked creating a backrest with a slight incline. Although designed as a whole the collection was intended to be split which each chair having a unique quality that should fit a variety of situations and interiors.
